The Back to School Program was started in 1996 when Czarina Punchard and Marlene DeLeon came to work
with Jim and I in Autlán. They commented about so many children being out of school and we shared that the families
were so poor that they had to pick and choose which child went to school. They went back home and
immediately started raising support for the children. The program went from 25 children to up to 200 children.
Due to the economy we have downgraded some but still continue on.
Our dear sister Czarina went home to be with the Lord a few years ago. She will be missed, but she
is in a much better place. Thanks to God this program will continue on in her name. Marlene has married and now
has a beautiful son and daughter. We praise the Lord for dear dedicated servants like these two gals.
BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM RETURNS!
Dear Friends:
I wish to take a few minutes and tell you how much you are appreciated. First of all,
for you continous prayers, love gifts and help with the ministry here in Autlán. Second, for your fantastic efforts
to help the children of Autlán stay in school.
This year we have taken photos of 130 children from Kindergarten to University
students. You may send your funds to Tecate Mission, P.O. Box 1000, Tecate, Ca. 91980-1000. It is $65.00 for Kindergarten-6th
grade, $90.00 for Jr. High, $120.00 for Sr. High and $220 for Universitary students. Many of the parents and children have
asked me to write and let you know how much they appreciate your faithfulness to help their children. May the Lord continue
to bless you and these programs.
