THE BLUEPRINT OF THE MINISTRY OF JIM AND SONDRA PEPPER
In 1981 Jim and I were called into our Lords service as missionaries to Mexico. We had been working
with our Youth Pastor, Marty Stayer, at an orphanage in Tijuana, when we felt the call of the Lord on us. We did
not know for sure where the Lord wanted us when Nova Smith asked us if we wanted to work with him full time with
Mexican Christian Missions. We worked for 3 years on the border, because our children were still in school. They
worked with us during the summer, with youth work groups that came to help build churches for the Lord. After they graduated
from High School we decided to travel interior, to Autlán, Jalisco, to visit one of the pastors of the Mission. Luis
and Maria Ayón soon became very dear to us and we started working more and more in the interior, Jim building churches for
MCM and I was doing children and women ministries. After many years of working in these areas we decided that God was
calling us to help plant a church with Luis and Maria. Shortly thereafter we changed to Tecate Mission. Jim served our
Lord in Autlán until on April 8th, 2001 our Lord took him home, after a two year struggle from cancer. I am currently
serving in Autlán doing evangelism and discipleship, working with the 2-5 year olds in the Star of Bethlehem Church that we
helped found, working with youth, as well as working with the current pastor, Antonio Diaz Hernandez in the church.
I have been hoping to open a new work on the other side of Autlán for two years now, but I want to do it with a national
pastor and his wife, as of yet the Lord has not provided them.
